5th International Conference:
Values and Identity
13-14 November 2015

The aim of this academic conference was to gather scientific workers and researchers of these phenomena, as well as people from other areas of public life who are aware of the importance of the topic in a contemporary society. The period in which we live - the age of new global social movements – has lead to accelerated cultural changes which have also placed new social values on the pedestal on which an individual creates his/her new identity. Hence, the global society confronted with its own challenges at the beginning of the 21st century began to question whether all the values that have been brought about with it are socially justified. The aim of the conference was to discuss as many sides as possible of the values and identity phenomena through the exchange of academic ideas and knowledge in order to achieve sustainable concepts of coexistence in a complex modern society. In addition to scientific workers from Serbia and the region, the academic conference was attended by a large number of scientists from as many as 15 EU Member States.
